 Even though world market prices have fallen over the past years, the situation for most farmers has not seen much of a change. Indeed, the great majority of families dedicated to grow coffee beans encounter only a situation where they are having a hard time trying to support their families and maintain their lands. What has taken place instead is that big companies have not decided to lower consumer prices but to maintain them at an artificial price in their urge to make extravagant profits pocketing the existing difference in price. At the same time, to the sole disadvantage of small coffee farmers all around the world, these are being paid even less than the average cost of production by big companies accentuating their poverty and hunger. Facing the current context we believe in a total transformation of the coffee industry, which is why FUNDO AIRMO has started his own coffee brand who seeks to preserve the strong family bound and tradition attached to the art of cultivating coffee. As an innovative brand, we are committed to overcome the conventional chain of production and distribution of coffee and all the intermediaries within which make coffee so unjust and environmental unsustainable. Our aim, thus, is to obtain a fair compensation for the labor invested in the elaboration of our product. From now on we have decided to engage in the compromise of managing the coffee trade on our own hands confronting big companies and countless intermediaries. It is a compromise that certainly expands in offering our customers the freshness and quality of our coffee beans directly coming from our blessed lands in Villa Rica - Peru. Needless to say, as a consumer you must be sure that every time you choose one our products, your purchase is heavily contributing to establish a new way for trade in a globalized world where traditional family growers are taken into account.
