 The Oconal zone is where ours farms are located only 30 minutes away of Villa Rica. This vicinity is well characterized by its geography, as well as its various microclimates and its shady grounds all of which are perfectly suitable for the culture of Arabica coffee. Its height contributes to the high quality of the coffee combining: great flavour, great aroma, great body and acidity. At the same time, it is the habitat of a great variety of birds and insects. CLIMATE According to the ecological floors of Peru, Villa Rica is located between the Fluvial Yunga (1.000 - 2.300 metres above sea level) and the Quechua (2.300 - 3.500 metres above sea level) in the Eastern part of the Andes mountains. The climate is temperate, it is neither too damp nor warm, and a little dry during the winter. The average annual rainfall is 1.529 mm and the average annual temperature is 17, 7 °C. The relative humidity for the zone is of 89%. |
